Cathy's bead show must-haves

These four items should be in every bead shoppers bag

These items are must-haves for my trip to the Tucson bead shows next week and for the Bead&Button Show in June. They're also pretty handy for everyday bead shopping, and are easy to tuck in your purse.

For the shows, I'll also be bringing the most comfy shoes I own (fashion is not a consideration here) and extra baggies so I can separate and label individual strands back in my room. If you buy a bunch of inexpensive strands at one of those vast tables, chances are you're just going to get a brown lunch bag full strands. I used to think I'd remember what everything is and what it costs - I never do.

Speaking of shows, have you browsed the Bead&Button Show classes yet? Check them out - they're fabulous as usual.

Sharpie
Did I mention I have a bad memory? I keep a Sharpie with me to write on bags, baggies, reciepts, etc., all the crucial details that don't plan to visit my brain for more than 10 minutes.

I love the keychain idea. While I never have gone to a show as big as Tucson, I do go to several bead shows a year that come to Cincinnati. I always bring beads or pendants I am trying to match in small baggies which I carry in a small tote. Seems like I am always fumbling for the right baggie and then trying to pull the bead out to hold up against something, all while being jostled by other shoppers. The keychain is an inspited idea - thank you.

Really great tips!!! I especially like the keychain idea! I always struggle with matching components I have at home already. Thanks!
