Supplies • 10 mm heart-shaped crystal pendant • 2 3 mm bicone crystals • 19 mm bullet drop • 10 mm bird bead • 2 3 mm spacers • 4 mm jump ring • 5 in. (13 cm) 24-gauge wire • pair of earring wires • chainnose and roundnose pliers • diagonal wire cutters
Swarovski heart and bicones from JewelrySupply.com. Bird beads from Ornamentea. Bullet drops from Metalliferous.

Step 1
On a 2 1/2-in. (6.4 cm) piece of wire, using the large part of your roundnose pliers, make the first half of a wrapped loop (Basics). String a heart pendant and complete the wraps.

Step 2
String a spacer, a bicone crystal, and a bird bead. Make a wrapped loop. Open a jump ring (Basics) and attach the dangle and an earring wire.

Step 3
On a 2 1/2-in. (6.4 cm) piece of wire, using the large part of your roundnose pliers, make the first half of a wrapped loop. String a bullet drop and complete the wraps. String a bicone crystal and a spacer. Make a wrapped loop.
|
Step 4
Attach the loop of an earring wire and the dangle. Use your chainnose pliers to close the earring wire's loop.

Tip
Aside from using components with the same metal finish, the key to making a pair of mismatched earrings is to make them about the same length. That's why you add an extra jump ring to the heart dangle in step 2.
