Published: October 28, 2011 Make your table enticing and approachable: • Include clearly marked prices. • Cover your table with a tablecloth. • Consider risers for the legs of the table to elevate it. • Place jewelry at different heights. • Have a mailing list or sign up sheet for new customers. • Display business cards. • Include a mirror. • Bring along extra lighting and an extension cord.
Even though you may have a lot of jewelry you'd like to sell, avoid displaying too many pieces. Instead, consider storing the following items behind your table: • calculator • cash box with change • receipts • credit card terminal • packaging materials • jewelry making tools (for adjustments) • list of future shows to hand out to interested customers • inventory sheet to track sold items • snacks and drinks

For a pretty and functional display, make your own earring holder from a set of window shutters:
1. Remove the slats from an old set of window shutters. You can paint the frame or use stamps to decorate it.
|
2. Use a heavy-duty staple gun to staple a piece of window screen (available from hardware stores) to the back of the frame.
|
3. Use your earring screen as a tabletop display or hang it on the wall. When hung, the shutters are like doors and can swing back and forth.
