Finishing a multistrand
We've all been there when a multistrand just isn't lining up. What a pain! When attaching the strands to the clasp, make sure they're in the right order (shortest to longest) on both sides. Subsribers can check out this "Pearl indulgence" multistrand project here.

Cutting multiple pieces of chain From a long chain, cut one piece to the length you need. String the piece onto some scrap wire and let it dangle. String the long chain next to it, let it dangle, line up the links, and cut a second piece to the same length as the first. Cut all your subsequent pieces of chain this way — it's perfect for people who want to work visually (like me!) instead of counting out links.

When ideas are multiplying
As the seasons change, I'm dying for some more springtime accessories — my favorite stores, magazines, and "I want that!"-inducing TV commercials have me on inspiration overload. It can be tempting to take your many ideas and make jewelry with a dash of everything... But try to hold off (we can't all pull a Cathy and successfully incorporate everything but the kitchen sink!). To get my inspiration in order, I've started a bulletin board full of colors, styles, just-bought beads, and personal do-dads that will eventually morph into a stringing sensation.
