New and Cool Products: Steampunk editionResin, chain, and industrial-looking components tailor-made for steampunk style.
Published: October 8, 2010 When I was putting together my "Time Machine" necklace, I wanted to find chain that was unusual, but accessible. Steampunk is all about the details, so everyday chain — even in copper and gun metal finishes — would not do. I used these interesting chains — gunmetal long-and-short chain with 9 mm links and copper box chain with 2.5 mm links — because they had a rugged, industrial feel to them. Both can be found at Rings & Things, 800.366.2156, rings-things.com.

Resin is a great way to add a bezel full of bits and bobs to your steampunk design. But as anyone who works with resin knows, accurately measuring the two parts of the compound is crucial. Ice Resin takes some of the chance out of the operation with a pre-measured dual syringe. Ice Resin is available at craft stores and Objects and Elements, objectsandelements.com.
