Oh What to do with that wrapping wire?

You can extend the wraps over the top of your bead to get the look of a bead cap. Wrap the wire tail around the stem, covering the stem between the loop and the top bead. But, instead of trimming the excess wrapping wire extend the wraps over the top of your bead.

1 On a head pin (I made this one with a 4-in. (10 cm) piece of 20-guage wire).
Make the first half of a wrapped loop (Basics).

2 Cut a two-link piece of chain. Attach the bead unit to a link and complete the wraps.
Continue wrapping the wire over the top of the bead.

3 Open the loop of an earring wire (Basics).
Attach the dangle and close the loop.
Make a second earring.

I like that you put the guage size down. Could you put a site so we can know which one is softer or harder? I often get confused. thank you Anna

I love wire work and I would like to learn more about it. Very good idea.

Lovely piece, simple, I am not very good at the wire wrapping, so this would take me forever to try to do the capping wire work; just enough of a job to train me on with cheap beads for practice, so I do not scratch up the nice beads.
