Knots

From the pages of BeadStyle magazine, step-by-step references to techniques used in bead-stringing projects: overhand knot, surgeon's knot, and lark's head knot.
Overhand knot
22. Make a loop and pass the working end through it. Pull the ends to tighten the knot.
Surgeon's knot
24. Cross the right end over the left and go through the loop. Go through again. Pull the ends to tighten. Cross the left end over the right and go through once. Tighten.
Lark's head knot
27. Fold a cord in half and lay it behind a ring or cord with the fold pointing up.
28. Bring the fold around the ring or cord from back to front. Pull the ends through the fold and tighten.
