Create your own jewelry packaging
Bonus Online Notebook #10
When trying to stand out in a crowd of jewelry sellers, beautiful, well-made jewelry in your own unique style is the key. But when you are looking for that little extra advantage, distinctive packaging can give you an edge. There are plenty of options you can buy, but if you’re watching the bottom line (and who isn’t?) creating your own is the way to go. It takes a little extra time, but making your own packaging is eco- and budget-friendly, and it’ll keep your hands out of the snacks while watching “American Idol.” Google “bag templates” for a bunch of free options on the Web or use the super-easy box template on the next page. Just photocopy the template, enlarging (or shrinking) the image to the size you need. Check craft stores for cardstock sales. Thicker magazine covers work too. Make bags out of interesting magazine or newspaper pages. |
