They may be the last steps in the jewelry-making process, but the choice of a crimping component and a clasp area key to the security, wearability, and style of your necklace or bracelet. Not taking the time to find the right crimp can mean you’re spending a lot more time picking up beads off the floor. When choosing a clasp, consider the weight of the necklace, the size of the beads and the age dexterity of the wearer. If you find a really beautiful clasp (and there are many!), consider designing a necklace that gives the wearer the option to wear it in the front.
